Who We Are

Some of you are clicking on links and wondering "what is garage politics?" Allow me to enlighten you. Garage politics was the idea of two brothers and one of our friends with the friend being the "driving mechanism" in encouraging me to pursue my passion and my dream. I am, first and foremost, a Christian and follower of Christ. Right after that, however, I am an avid and ardent supporter and champion of the American experiment and all that encompasses. I LOVE America! As a result I am a history buff and a prolific consumer of all things political. The problem, I have discovered, with being so enthralled in politics and history is that the two inevitably conflict. The pundits and prognosticators of today I find are quite often at odds with the well intended and clearly indicated policies and views of our founders and our founding documents.

That's where garage politics comes in. I have spent years spouting my opinions and views to anyone who was unfortunate enough to invite me into a conversation on the government, politics or social issues. Some, I could tell, regretted that decision almost in the moment that they made it. Many, however, seemed to appreciate what I had to say and that just fed the fire. Take Don Russo, for example. Don made the mistake of wandering into my garage one evening and engaging me in a political discussion. He hasn't been able to shut me up ever since then. That's probably what prompted him to encourage me to start my own radio show. He wanted to share the experience with the rest of humanity.

My brother was never quite that lucky. He's had to listen to me for all of his adult life. That wouldn't be so bad but it was only a few years ago when he finally began to actually develop an interest in what was actually going on in our country and the world at large. Prior to that he always looked for the nearest exit the moment I began to talk about anything even remotely resembling politics.

Now Jack is an entirely different story. Politically and personally, Jack and I were kindred spirits from the moment we had our first conversation. We are both hard line conservatives, proud Americans and computer geeks who harbor a special disgust and intense anger for anyone who would dare desecrate the principles and heritage of this great land.

This show is about our personalities, our views, our love of God and Country and our devotion to our families and the special ideals of freedom, liberty and opportunity we have in America. We're not particularly worried that what we say might offend some left-wing loon and we don't have to worry about the politicians being miffed with us. We have no need to curry favor with the MSM or the elitist intelligensia that populate the halls of the academy or the lecterns in congress. We are free, independent thinkers and we have a uniquely common perspective on the world that we are observing and listening to each day. We see ourselves as one of the few voices of the common man. We have no special degrees in political science and we have not spent our lives plastered to a bench in congress or state legislatures at the people's expense. We do not seek to tell you what you should or shouldn't believe but we are adamant in our view that the beliefs we hold are absolutely valid and pertinent to the discussion. That is not to say that we're never wrong. It is to say, however, that when it comes to America and Americans we are proud and unwavering in our support for both.

So when you've had enough of the MSM, the pundits and the political lap dogs just come on into the garage. Take a seat and hear what we have to say. Who knows. You might even find that once you get down to common sense and reason you actually agree with some of what we say. Either way you may as well join the ride now because we're not going away. Garage Politics is here to stay.

What We're Doing

We're telling it like it is from the common man's view. We're calling out the dirty politicians, making fun of the lifetime leeches with their hands in our wallet and generally pointing out all of the people and organizations that are a danger to or a drag on America. We're calling for a return to common sense and common decency. We're asking the people to clean out the halls of congress and free us all from the tyranny of lifelong politicians. Send the common man to Washington and put reality back at the forefront of our legislatures. At the local, state and federal level we need a rebirth of dedication and devotion to the American people and American interests. We need politicians who are willing to tell the UN and the haters of America around the world that we will not succumb to political correctness and permit our heritage and our identity to be stripped from us by petty dictators and pretenders to power. We need to tell those in our own country who want to retry the failed socialist experiments that we will not tolerate their dangerous tinkering with our imminently successful system. We need to tell power brokers like George Soros and Al Gore what they can do with their money and their crackpot views. More than anything, however, we need to send out the battle cry and sound the clarion trumpet that will finally awaken the vast portion of the population that seem to have taken a vacation from standing up for America and her principles. We're all about that mission and attaining those goals. We want America back in the hands of those that love her and out from under the influence of those people and groups who only love themselves and their own self-serving ideas.
